Fluitzomercursus 2019

De 28e Internationale Fluitzomercursus 'For the Contemporary Flutist' door de Nederlandse fluitist-componist Wil Offermans zal plaatsvinden van 20 tot 27 juli 2019 in Sayalonga (Malaga), Spanje. In een inspirerende Andalusische ambiance exposeert Offermans zijn hedendaagse benadering van het fluitspel met de deelnemers en promoot hierbij de hedendaagse speeltechnieken als een fenomenaal hulpgereedschap om fluitspel en lesgeven verder te ontwikkelen.

De cursus richt zich op fluitstudenten, fluitisten en fluitdocenten en is een prima gelegenheid als introductie voor de mogelijkheden van de hedendaagse fluitspel en de hedendaagse technieken, alsook een verdere verdieping van de uitvoerende en educatieve aspecten. Terwijl de nadruk van de cursus vooral ligt op de 'moderne' technieken, is het beoogde muzikale doel hierachter een algemene flexibiliteit, creativiteit en ontwikkeling van m.n. de ademhaling, de toonvorming en de lichaamscontrole.

De cursus wordt gegeven in het Engels. Daarnaast spreekt Wil Offermans ook Nederlands en in beperkte mate Duits, Spaans, Frans en Japans. De cursus wordt georganiseerd door Studio E Music Creation. Het total cursusgeld bedraagt € 675. Echter kunnen 'vroege vogels' profiteren van een kortingstarief van slechts € 575, nu tot 30 april 2019.

De belangrijkste literatuur voor de cursus is het etudeboek For the Contemporary Flutist van Wil Offermans (uitgegeven door Musikverlag Zimmermann, Germany; Zenon, Japan; en SeJong Publishers, Korea; bekroond door de National Flute Association, USA). Belangrijke onderwerpen tijdens de cursus:

Moderne speeltechnieken kunnen ons spel, en met name klank en ademhaling, verbeteren en verdiepen. Technieken als bamboe-tonen, boventonen, permanente ademhaling, meerklanken en fluistertonen zullen worden gestudeerd. Deze technieken worden behandeld aan de hand van Offermans' etudeboek For the Contemporary Flutist.

Programma

Naast de groepslessen heeft elke deelnemer ook een master class, waarin verder kan worden gewerkt aan een specifieke techniek of compositie. Er is dagelijks een lunch en 'siesta'-pauze van 14:00 tot 17:30 en avondeten na de lessen. Tussendoor worden ook drankjes en snacks geserveerd. In de vrije tijd kan men naast fluitstuderen ook genieten van het luxe privé-zwembad, het historische dorpje Sayalonga bezoeken of een wandeling maken in de bergen tussen de vele fruitbomen. Locatie

De cursus vindt plaats in een gerenoveerde boerderij met een schitterend uitzicht over het dorpje Sayalonga, op 8 kilometer van de Middellandse Zee en op 40 kilometer van Malaga. Het huis heeft comfortabele eenpersoonskamers en allemaal voorzien van gratis WiFi internet. Onze kok serveert de meest heerlijke en gevarieerde maaltijden (vegetarisch, etc. mogelijk). Om de cursus te bereiken vanuit het buitenland, is het raadzaam om naar het Internationale vliegveld Malaga te vliegen. Vandaar zal de organisatie assisteren met vervoer naar Sayalonga te regelen.
